On Wednesday March 21st, York Township Supervisor John W. Valle joined DuPage Forest Preserve District 2 Commissioner Joe Cantore, the City of Oakbrook Terrace Mayor Tony Ragucci and Lombard President Bill Mueller in the annual Mayors March For Meals event sponsored by the DuPage Senior Citizens Council.

March For Meals is an annual national campaign to raise awareness of senior hunger and to encourage action on a local level. Mayors For Meals is a component of March For Meals that utilizes the involvement of local mayors and other elected officials who deliver meals on one day in March to show their support of their local senior nutrition program which in this case is the York Township Food Pantry.

York Township Supervisor John W. Valle said, “Our Senior Nutrition Program is honored to be partners with the DuPage Senior Citizens Council in the fight against hunger and I thank Mayor Ragucci, Commissioner Cantore and President Mueller for their participation in this worthwhile event.”
