"Walk for Water" Raised Money for Wells in Central America

CHICAGO — Living Water International, in partnership with Parkview Community Church, hosted a “Walk for Water” last Saturday in suburban Glen Ellyn. More than 100 participants attended to raise enough money to build water wells in Central America. Participants walked 2.5 total miles representing those who walk for water in poverty stricken areas around the world.

The event started at Parkview Community Church where participants walked 1.5 miles as a group to Lake Ellyn, collected water in buckets and jugs and walked one mile back to the church carrying the water. This allowed participants to put themselves in the shoes of the millions of people who journey to find clean water every day.
