Preview Night at The Comedy Shrine

Everyone from Aurora Mayor Tom Weisner to the stars of the hit shows "Pimprov" and "Late Night Catechism" rubbed elbows last month as The Comedy Shrine held a Media/Sneak Preview Night prior to the grand reopening of the club in its new location.

The Comedy Shrine is now located at 4034 Fox Valley Center Drive, just west of Fox Valley Mall in Aurora. This new and expanded location now offers two separate theaters -- one for improv and one for stand-up. A full lounge welcomes guests, who are surrounded by the thousands of pieces of comedy memorabilia that puts the "shrine" in the club's name.

The Comedy Shrine weekly performance schedule includes:

Open Mic at 8 p.m.

Pimprov at 8 p.m.
Best of the Midwest Stand-up at 8:30

Who's Line Improv at 8 p.m.
Who's Line Naughty Show at 10 p.m.
Superstars of Stand-up at 8:30 and 10:30 p.m.

Running With Scissors Teen Improv at 4 p.m.
Cheaper Than a Movie Family Improv at 6 p.m.
Who's Line Improv at 8 and 10 p.m.
Superstars of Stand-up at 8:30 and 10:30 p.m.

Late Night Catechism will debut at The Comedy Shrine on Sundays in September.

The Comedy Shrine also offers a variety of improv, stand-up and comedy writing classes, all taught by professionals, for children, teens and adults.
