Ninth Annual Advent Tea Rings in the Holiday Season

The Council of Catholic Women of St. James the Apostle Church in Glen Ellyn, led by co-presidents Deb Drager and Jane Wiedmeyer, have made it a solid tradition to gather women as Advent begins and celebrate what really is going on as Christmas nears. Their ninth annual Evening of Advent Tea, celebrated December 1 at the Abbington Banquets of Glen Ellyn, featured fellowship, sharing, meditation, prayer, song and, of course, food and refreshment. This special evening gave attendees the chance to mingle over a light dinner served at 28 tables decorated with a holiday theme chosen by a table hostess. The eveningā€™s address was given by Dr. Madonna
Wojtaszek-Healy, a local educational consultant and vice president of Rooted in Love, Inc., in Joliet. Her presentation "When I Let Go, God Always Catches Me!" focused on women finding small miracles in everyday life and practicing patience during the hectic holidays.
