Student smoking pot in Glenbard West bathroom, and more

The following incidents were taken from Glen Ellyn police reports on Oct. 25:

No valid license

A Lombard woman was charged with having no valid driver’s license and speeding following a traffic stop near the intersection of Roosevelt Road and Surrey Drive on Oct. 16.

Property damage

A car’s passenger-side window had been shot out with a BB gun while parked in the 700 block of Pershing Avenue on Oct. 16.

Graffiti was spray-painted in the women’s bathroom at Ackerman Park, 800 St. Charles Road, sometime around Oct. 17.

A garage door was reportedly spray-painted in the 700 block of Elm Street on Oct. 22.


Several yard signs, valued at $125, were reported stolen from a home in the 700  block of Crescent Boulevard on Oct. 18.

A pack of cigarettes and $39 were reported stolen from a coat pocket in the 500 block of Main Street on Oct. 20.

A bicycle, valued at $100, locked at the bike rack at the train station near Park Boulevard was reported stolen on Oct. 20.

Three car batteries, valued at $590, were reported stolen from Advanced Auto Parts, 696 Roosevelt Road, on Oct. 21.

A yard sign was reported stolen from a yard in the 500 block of Lee Street on Oct. 22.


A Naperville woman was charged with driving under the influence and speeding after a traffic stop near Roosevelt Road and Hillcrest Lane on Oct. 22.


A Glen Ellyn man was charged with possession of cannabis and disobeying a stop sign following a traffic stop in the 600 block of Maiden Lane on Oct. 19.

A Glenbard West High School student admitted to smoking marijuana in the school’s bathroom and was cited for possession of cannabis and possession of drug equipment at the school, 670 Crescent Boulevard, on Oct. 20.
