Two recent fires in Frankfort Square under investigation, and more

These items were taken from Frankfort Police reports released April 11, Sheriff’s Police reports released April 11 and information from the Will County Adult Detention Facility and Will County Circuit Clerk’s Office.

Sex Offender

  • A 46-year-old Frankfort man from the 11500 block of Tea Tree Lane is scheduled to appear in court May 7 on a three-count misdemeanor charge of being a convicted sexual predator in a Frankfort park. Police took him into custody April 6 on the 20600 block of Lincoln-Way Lane on a charge filed this month alleging he was coaching children’s sports teams in July 2011.

Frankfort Square Fires Under Investigation

  • The State Fire Marshall’s Office is investigating two late-night April 4 fires in Frankfort Square. Tinley Park Fire Department put out a fully engulfed abandoned pole barn on the 7500 block of West 191st Street shortly around midnight, and Frankfort Fire Protection District extinguished a fully engulfed unoccupied house on the 21000 block of South 84th Avenue shortly after 2 a.m. April 5. Sheriff’s Police said the residential property had a large pile of debris and appeared to be a dumping ground for construction.


  • A 38-year-old Frankfort woman from the 20100 block of South Brendan Street was arrested April 6 on a warrant charging her with two counts of theft in connection with an alleged May 2009 incident in Frankfort. The felony charge was filed this month. She is scheduled to appear in court May 7.
  • Materials valued at $7,000 were reported taken April 3 from a business parking lot on the 10200 block of Vans Drive.
  • An exterior air conditioning unit was reported taken April 3 from a business complex on the 7200 block of West Benton Drive.
  • Two golf carts were reported taken April 4 from a building on the 8900 block of West Laraway Road.

Criminal Damage to Property

  • Unspecified damage was reported April 6 to equipment parked in a residential driveway on the 11200 block Tea Tree Lane.

Criminal Damage to Vehicles

  • The windows of a front end loader parked on the 8400 block of West St. Francis Road were reported broken out April 8.
  • Frankfort Police fielded seven reports on April 6 of damage to vehicles parked in residential driveways in an area between 96th and 116th avenues, with most of the activity west of Wolf Road near Laraway Road. The incidents occurred on the 22100 block Clary Sage Drive, 22400 and 22600 blocks of Merritton Road, 11200 block of Stoll Road, 10400 and 10700 blocks of Williamsburg Trail and 0-100 block of White Street.
  • Damage was also reported April 7 to a vehicle parked in a residential driveway on the 10500 block of Williamsburg.
  • The back window of a vehicle parked on the 18000 block of South Park Road was reported shattered on April 6.


  • A 19-year-old Peotone-area female is scheduled to appear in court May 7 for a preliminary hearing on one count of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of possession of hypodermic/syringe/needles. The charge stems from her April 6 arrest during a 9:30 p.m. traffic stop at LaGrange and Steger roads.
