Photos from a quick walk around Jelke Creek Bird Sanctuary in Dundee Township. This sanctuary features wetlands, prairie and woods. Common animals are great blue herons, killdeers, sandpipers, short-billed dowitchers, eastern kingbirds, painted turtles, sandhill cranes, red-tailed hawks, turkey vultures, meadow voles, muskrats, common yellowthroats, indigo buntings, downy woodpeckers, cedar waxwings, northern flickers, black-capped chickadees, brown headed cowbirds, and mallard ducks. https://www.facebook.com/IllinoisFloraFauna
