MAX DIAMOND AND THE CAST OF “THOSE FUNNY LITTLE PEOPLE” RETURN FROM TRIP TO SHANGHAI, CHINA

Chicago, Illinois, January 26, 2012 – Those Funny Little People lead performers – Max Diamond, Lola, Ice, James, Curtis, and Wally – just returned from their appearance on the January 21 st finale episode of China's Got Talent .

America's most loveable, life-sized puppets performed live at the Mercedes-Benz Pavilion to an audience of more than 18,000 people. As part of a week-long Chinese New Year celebration, the episode was broadcast on Chinese television to more than 500 million people worldwide. On stage, this animated troupe sang along with Zhu Jie, season one's winner, to “ Somewhere Over the Rainbow, ” before giving its special twist to “ Singing in the Rain/It's Raining Men. ”

Those Funny Little People first raised their profile last summer when they charmed their way into the hearts of people everywhere, competing on 3 episodes of NBC's America's Got Talent. They were then invited back to compete on the wild card episode, making it in the top thirty-six acts. Following their TV fame, this sassy troupe of Little People puppets were asked to perform at the Kennedy Center's annual holiday party and since then, have received invitations to entertain around the globe.

These human-like puppets are the brainchild of Dave Gregoire and Sarah McNulty-Polarek, both of the Chicago-land area. Their Little People family is a multi-talented troupe. Just like real people, they talk, sing, dance, and interact with their audience. For more than thirty years, this charming, comedic group has entertained at festivals, family celebrations, corporate events, as well as in theater and on television.
