Voters stay home

Tuesday’s primary failed to draw much interest from voters in the Chicago area.

DuPage County officials were looking at a turnout of slightly more than 25 percent, close to the record low of recent years. In Kane County, only about 21 percent of voters showed up, the lowest in recent years. (The figure for Kane does not include Aurora.)
