Featured Works:First Friday Exhibits at the Dole

The arts come ALIVE at First Friday's at the Dole Mansion. The public is welcome on Friday, June 3rd from 5pm-9pm to enjoy four unique art exhibits and live music performances.
The public is welcome at the June 3rd First Friday at Lakeside Legacy Foundation at the Historic Dole Mansion at 401 Country Club Road, Crystal Lake, IL 60014 from 5pm-9pm.
Join us the ‘First Friday’ of every month for our open house event featuring art, live music, and refreshments. The event is family friendly and dree to attend, donations are appreciated and there is a cash bar! Artwork is available for purchase and a portion of each sale is a donation to LLF! Support artists and Lakeside by purchasing amazing art!

June’s First Friday live music is provided by Jake Lizzo and friends. Jake is a resident partner guitarist at Lakeside. Ben Heroux is a neighbor of Lakeside and grew up playing piano at Lakeside. He is home from college and will entertain guests with his jazz piano!

June’s First Friday features four amazing exhibits and the hallway exhibit by the resident partner artists of Lakeside. For the first time ever, Lakeside is featuring an abstract installation on the second and third floor of the Dole Mansion. For the past several month’s two artists have been creating and installing their exhibit. This month not only view art, meet the artists, enjoy live music but also tour the Historic Dole mansion and learn how these creative artists have dialogued with the historic space to create something unique and extraordinary!

The Dole Mansion 2nd & 3rd Floor Collaboration/Installation by MCC Art Department Professors Erin Coleman-Cruz & Christina Gregor. Follow their installation leading up to the June 3rd opening at http://collaborateeccg.blogspot.com/.
The title of their exhibit is "I'm thinkig of changing my smile."

The Dole Gallery features the works of the Members of Northwest Area Arts Council. Learn more about NAAC at www.naac4art.org.

LLF Resident Artist Lori Kiergaard will be filing the lobby with
examples of her work. Featuring new work in the "Blinding Light" series of oil paintings, as well as samples of her amazingly lifelike charcoal portraits. Lori is a professional artist and also teaches oil painting at Creative Artistry in Crystal Lake, The Studio McHenry and through her own private studio on the third floor of Lakeside.Visit her show to learn more about her work as an artist and instructor. The Sage Gallery features Artists of the Johanna Gullick Studio. Johanna Gullick is a Lakeside Legacy Foundation resident partner artist. This enthusiastic group of students is excited to have their second showing at Lakeside. Over twenty students will be exhibiting watercolor, oil, and acrylic paintings. Styles are diverse including abstract as well are realism and the subjects include landscape, floral, still life and portraiture.
