County seeks to patch budget

The Northwest Herald reports: With time running out before the start of the 2012 fiscal year, the McHenry County Board is looking to find a way to plug a projected $1.8 million deficit.

A plan proposed by county staff to do so by paying two bonds from the county’s large cash reserve will be among the options the County Board will consider at a special budget workshop tentatively set for Oct. 7.
