Nearly 400 runners participated in the 15th annual Crystal Lake Half Marathon Sunday.

Runners of all ages and ability levels came from around the state to participate in the event, which started at Lippold Park and continued through the streets of Crystal Lake.

“(Runners) were competing to achieve personal bests, while others in the elite category competed for their final placement,” said Jenny Leech, Crystal Lake Park District public information coordinator. “It was a beautiful day with perfect weather for running.”
