National Hot Dog Month at the Birches Assisted Living

In honor of National Hot Dog Month, The Birches Assisted Living had a Hot Dog Festival, on Friday, July 31, at The Birches, 215 55th St., Clarendon Hills.

Chef Diana Subaciute pulled out all the stops and created four hot dog stations in separate areas of the dining room:

Station 1: Polish Olive dog, dog in a boat
Station 2: Texas Chili dogs, corn dogs
Station 3: Italian Italian hot dog, hot dog casserole
Station 4: Chicago The Birches classic Chicago dog, pigs in the blanket

Also, the rumor was true! Two Birches directors dressed as hot dog condiments. For more information, call Carol Weigel at 630-789-1135 or visit
