The Sabre and Huskies Teams, which are separated by only 1 point in the CSDHL standings met Wednesday evening at Rocket Ice Arena for a crucial regular season game. Prior to the game, in a show of incredible sportsmanship the Huskies players taped their sticks in Sabre colors and proudly displayed "TW" in support of Tamara Watkins's speedy recovery. Watkins was critically injured on Sunday, January 15, 2012 at Rt. 30 and 127th Street in Plainfield. She is currently at Loyola Medical Center ICU in Maywood recovering from severe head trauma. The Sabres and Huskies finished 3 periods of play in a 2-2 tie. Foregoing the traditional post-game handshake, all players took center ice for a moment of prayer.
