Barn Preservation in an Urban World

Conference this Saturday! A bus tour of selected Kane County barns including those at Garfield Farm Museum, Settlers Hill Golf Course, and Mooseheart, will be a feature of the Illinois Barn Alliance conference “Barn Preservation in an Urban World” on Saturday October 1, 2011 from 9:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. The conference begins at the Waubonsee Community College Academic and Professional Center at the Sugar Grove Campus, and also includes morning talks by Julia Thavong on rural preservation and David Bauer on barn history. The conference will cost $60 that includes lunch and the tour. The public is welcome. Just come to Waubonsee Sugar Grove Campus off Route 47 between 8:30 and 9:00 am to register.
