Digital Bookmobile makes stop in Aurora

Aurora Public Library was host to the Overdrive Digital Bookmobile when it stopped in Aurora on June 6 as part of its national tour.
Readers of all ages were invited to step onto the 74-foot community outreach vehicle to get a high-tech look at all the things one can access with an Aurora Public Library card.
At the free event, digital library specialists Dan Conochan and Adam Sockel, both of Cleveland, showed members of the community how to download e-books and audiobooks from the library.
A gadget gallery featuring Kindle, iPod touch, Android tablet, NOOK, Sony Reader, BlackBerry, Windows Phone and more were on display to show visitors how many different portable devices are compatible with the library's download service.
The Digital Bookmobile was in Elgin on June 5 and will be at the Elmwood Park Public Library from 1 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 8, and at the Tinley Park Public Library from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 9.
