National Day of Prayer – Prayer Walk

On Thursday, May 5, Aurora experienced a unity of prayer, as individuals participated in a city-wide prayer walk. Some 25-40 individuals were involved in the nearly 8-hour walk. The walk started at Orchard Road and West Galena Boulevard; and concluded at the corner of McCoy Drive and Route 59. Some of the walk stops included: Countryside Care Centre, West Aurora High School, Pregnancy Information Center, Paramount Arts Centre, Fox Valley United Way, city hall, street stops, Main Baptist Church, Beaupre Elementary School, Steck Elementary School, and the McCoy Drive Fire Station, The walk was lead by the Rev. Dan Haas, E4:11 Resources, and Pastor Randy Schoof. of Warehouse Church. Also a prayer tent was available at Westminster Presbyterian Church. The prayer walk and tent were part of the National Day of Prayer and were sponsored by the Aurora Christian Ministry Network (see http://www.acmn.org ).
