An Aurora man arrested last week for allegedly peeping into bedroom windows has now been charged with possessing child pornography, police said Wednesday.

A Kane County judge increased bail for Erik S. Paxton by $500,000 — to $760,000 — during a court hearing on the new charges, two counts of aggravated possession of child pornography.

Aurora police said they found images of child pornography on a computer belonging to Paxton, 24, after his arrest. Police said they do not think any of the images were of children Paxton knew from his previous job at the Heritage YMCA in Naperville, or through volunteer work he did at an Aurora homeless shelter.
