$500 in copper wire stolen from radio tower, and more

The following items were taken from Arlington Heights Police records on April 11.


  • Cooper wire, valued at $500, was stolen from the base of a radio tower behind Barnes and Noble, 31 E. Rand Road, between 6 p.m. March 30 and 11:45 a.m. April 5. The theft was discovered during an inspection.

Vehicle burglary

  • Two cars were burglarized at the Ridge Plaza Shopping Mall on the 900 block of West Dundee Road between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. April 5. A black bag containing college textbooks, valued at $200, was stolen from a 2009 Nissan Murano. The driver’s side front window was smashed. A Dell laptop computer was also stolen from a green 2004 Ford Expedition. The passenger side rear window was smashed.
  • Four cars were burglarized in an apartment complex parking lot on the 1600 to 1700 blocks of West Woods Drive between 10 p.m. April 4 and 6:30 a.m. April 5. An iPod, GPS unit, wallet and gift card were taken from a black 1997 BMW, a black 2007 Ford Focus, a black 2011 Nissan Rogue and a black 2012 Honda CR-V.
