Semi truck stolen, and more

The following items were taken from Arlington Heights Police records on April 3.

Motor vehicle theft

  • A maroon 1998 Freightliner semitrailer truck was stolen from behind Garden Fresh Market, 600 E. Rand Road, between 11 p.m. March 29 and midnight April 1. There were no signs of force.

Criminal damage to property

  • A small, red pine tree, valued at $70, was uprooted from the front yard of a home on the 100 block of North Belmont Avenue between 7 p.m. March 31 and 7 a.m. April 1. The tree was found in a neighbor’s yard.


  • A Dell laptop computer, Xbox 360, four Xbox 360 games and an Xbox Kinect controller — valued together at $1,300 — were stolen from a home on the 400 block of South Fernandez Avenue between 3 p.m. March 23 and 1 a.m. March 30. An exterior garage door and then the inner door to the home were left unlocked. Several beers and soda cans were stolen from the basement refrigerator as well.
