Central School Students Have Nose for News On Monday afternoons, the Central School library turns into the newsroom for the student produced school newspaper The Fox Report. Thirty 4th graders are the official reporters for The Fox Report but all Central students are encouraged to submit articles for the paper. Each issue contains a mix of national, local and school news as well as travel ideas, recipes, comics, sports, horoscopes, and more Under the direction of Central teachers Julie Mirabelli, Romy DeCristofaro, and Traci Meziere, students participate in the entire editorial process – brainstorming story ideas, writing, photography and photo selection, editing, proofreading and production. This is a great way for kids to get a taste of journalism. Each finished product is a source of pride, but then the next issue begins – just like a real newspaper!
