Wheeling Officials celebrated with Mark’s House of Rock and Roll as they cut the red ribbon on Friday. In attendance, from left to right: Cathy Powers, Director of Wheeling/Prospect Heights Chamber of Commerce, Valerie Kaczmarski, Co-Proprietor, Mark Fowkes, Co-Proprietor, Village President Judy Abruscato (center), Jon Sfondilis, Village Manager and Village Trustee, Ken Brady. Mark’s House of Rock and Roll opened the Wednesday before Thanksgiving to rave reviews. They have bands booked through the end of the year and into January 2010, with a focus on Rock & Roll music. Casual menu items include paninis, soups and sandwiches, with hot dogs and chili on Sundays. Mark’s House of Rock and Roll is located on 322 N. Milwaukee Avenue in Wheeling. Hours are Monday through Friday from 3:00 to 2:00 am, Saturday from 12:00 to 2:00 am and Sunday from 10:00 to 2:00 am. Their phone number is (224) 676-0327.
