Nancy P. Tommaso Named President of The Women’s Board of NorthShore University HealthSystem at Skokie Hospital

The Women’s Board of NorthShore University HealthSystem at Skokie Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment of Nancy P. Tommaso as the new president of the 100 person volunteer organization. Tommaso served as a member of the Executive Committee for three years, before being named president of the Board. 

“We are thrilled to welcome Nancy Tommaso and The Women’s Board of Skokie Hospital to the NorthShore University HealthSystem family,” says Colleen Durbin Mitchell, President of NorthShore University HealthSystem Foundation. “Under Nancy’s leadership, we are confident The Board will flourish and serve as a tremendous asset to The Foundation.”

Tommaso is an independent financial services professional at her own company, NT Financial Services. She began her investment career at Lehman Brothers in New York in 1972, in their Investment Management Department. After a 20-year career as a teacher, she re-entered the financial services industry as a financial representative with Ameriprise Financial in October 2005. She joined The Principal® in January 2007 as a career agent and opened her own financial services practice in December 2008.

A long time community leader, Tommaso is also Chair of the Chicago chapter of Step Up Women’s Network, a dynamic professional women’s networking and charitable organization, as well as a Member of the National Board. In addition, she is an active member of the Wilmette Chamber of Commerce. She is a past President of the Homeland Association (MD), and the Connecticut College Club of Chicago and is a current member of the Brown Club of Chicago.
