Naperville man remains critical after Lily Cache Creek crash
A 22-year-old Naperville man remains in critical condition Thursday after driving off the road into Lily Cache Creek, about a mile from Route 30 in Plainfield on Wednesday evening. Plainfield police are investigating why Brian Graziano, who a witness said was driving eastbound on Renwick Road, veered into the west bound lanes and then came off the road into Lily Cache Creek, Plainfield Police Chief William Doster said. Graziano’s 1998 Grand Prix was upside down when responders reached the scene, said Plainfield Deputy Fire Chief Jon Stratton. “All you could see were the tires sticking up in the air,” Stratton said. Graziano was non-responsive when officials reached him after busting out the windows of his car, Stratton said. Graziano remains in intensive care at Provena St. Joseph’s Hospital in Joliet. The investigation is ongoing.
