Girls from the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Palatine Jr. Pirates Feeder Basketball program participated in a Palatine Senior Citizen Yard Clean-Up service project on November 14. 8th grade coach Mark Gallagher spearheaded the project to give the players an opportunity to give back to the community. He contacted the Palatine Senior Center to get a list of people who needed assistance with leaf raking and yard cleanup. The teams split up and worked for over two hours cleaning up five large yards. The teams had a good time on a pleasant November morning, and the residents were very appreciative of all the work the girls accomplished.
