Chiro One honors returning veterans at recognition ceremony in Lombard
Oak Brook, IL-July 3rd, 2009 - Chiro One Wellness Centers recently hosted a Share the Recognition Celebration, honoring veterans that participated in ‘Operation Share the Wellness’, a Chiro One outreach offering one year of complimentary chiropractic care to our newest returning veterans. Held at the Lindner Conference Center in Lombard on Friday, July 3rd at 8:30 a.m., participating veterans received certificates of completion and were recognized for their service to country. Eleven of the 100+ Operation Share the Wellness participants as well as over 300 Chiro One team members attended the event. A continental breakfast was offered.
“Freedom isn’t free,” stated Chief Marketing Officer Brett Penager. “We live in the greatest country in the world and today we honor our newest returning veterans who give their all so that we can enjoy this very freedom. Our heartfelt thanks go to all our participating veterans for placing their trust in us and for their service to the United States of America.” Operation Share the Wellness was developed to fill in a much needed health care gap, offering one year of complimentary chiropractic care to returning veterans. Enrollment was available from July 4th, 2008 through July 4th, 2009 at all 38 Chicagoland and Kentucky Centers. During the program, Chiro One served over 100 veterans, donating chiropractic care valued over $500,000 and also supported active duty military personnel serving overseas, collecting 577 cell phones and donating $1,000 to Cell Phones for Soldiers. $5,000 was donated to the VFW’s Operation Uplink program, providing calling cards for soldiers and over 1,000 care package items were collected to send to soldiers through Operation Gratitude. Over 1,000 letters were also sent to soldiers through A Million Thanksand $370 was donated by Dr. Nick Kuennen, Clinic Director of Chiro One Wellness Centers of Yorkville to the National Guard.For more information about Operation Share the Wellness, contact April Neill, Director of Public Relations, at (630) 468-1824.
