Hundreds of thousands of American Service Members serve in hostile and remote regions of the world each year. The physical conditions they endure are difficult and they are often times separated from loved ones for long periods of time. Doing its part to support our troops, Chiro One Wellness Centers recently hosted their Share the Hope Care Package Collection Drive to support U.S. Troops and Hospitalized Veterans, collecting over 1,000 care package items that were shipped to Operation Gratitude, a California based non-profit military support organization sending care packages to troops.

Donated items included new DVDs, CDs, Batteries,
Computer Flash Drives, Headsets,
Beanie Babies, Small Novelty Items, Disposable Cameras and Prepaid Phone Cards.

“On behalf of Operation Gratitude and the U.S. Troops deployed overseas who will benefit from your kindness, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your thoughtfulness and wonderful patriotic spirit,” states Carolyn Blashek, President Operation Gratitude. “Every donation we receive truly makes a difference and the brave members of the U.S. Military who receive your generosity will remember your kindness forever.”

Chiro One Wellness Centers of Yorkville, under the direction of Dr. Nick Kuennen helped out by donating $370 to National Guard ECHO Company 634th Brigade who shipped care package items to support the 634th Security Forces Company, an Army National Guard company based out of Joliet, IL, serving at Camp Eggers in Afghanistan. Paul Lally, Retired First Sergeant Army National Guard was on hand to accept this donation.

“When we heard there was a need within our community to send care packages to the troops, we knew we wanted to help,” stated Dr. Nick Kuennen, Clinic Director of Chiro One Wellness Centers of Yorkville. “It’s an honor to give back to our brave soldiers who give their all.”

Chiro One’s Share the Hope Care Package Drive marked the fourth phase of Chiro One’s Operation Share the Wellness Initiative providing complimentary chiropractic care to returning veterans.
