Voters in Lemont can meet the candidates at a community forum on Monday night, March 30, 2009 from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the Lemont Village Hall.

“Candidates’ Night Live” is sponsored by the Lemont Jaycees and Lemont Community Television.  The forum will be aired “live” on local cable channel 6.  Past President of the Lemont Jaycees Keith Michalek will be the moderator.

Questions for the candidates will be accepted from audience members.  Viewers watching "live" on channel 6 can call: 630-257-1590.

Candidates on the ballot for the April 7 election include: Village of Lemont; Lemont Township; Lemont Park District; Lemont Public Library District; Lemont-Bromberek Combined School District 113A; Lemont Township High School District 210; and Lemont Fire Protection District.

Lemont Jaycees President Vikki Ricken is excited about the event:  “Local elections are extremely important. This forum provides a great opportunity for voters to ask questions and learn where candidates stand on the issues.”

Rebroadcast of “Candidates’ Night” is scheduled for April 2, 2009 at Noon, 5 pm, and 8 pm on channel 6.
