Planning for “Project Graduation” – an all-night, chemical-free party held annually on the night of Lemont High School’s Graduation – has begun, and all of the school’s parents are invited to be a part of the planning activities.

Lemont High School parents are invited to attend planning meetings for the 2010 version of “Project Graduation.” The next meeting will be held in the school’s Learning Resource Center on Thursday, March 25, at 7 p.m.; the doors at the north entrance of the building, off of Porter Street, will be open at 6:45 p.m. Another meeting will be held on Thursday, April 15, at 7 p.m. in the LRC.

Directions to Lemont High School

Project Graduation began in 1990, and provides Lemont High School seniors with an outing that is both safe and fun on the night of their Graduation. Held on the LHS campus, the party is organized by parents, faculty and members of the community, and is intended to not only provide a good time, but also reduce the chance of any student being involved in an alcohol- or drug-related accident.

Project Graduation will offer a variety of supervised activities, as well as food, music and raffles.

Parents, community members and local businesses are encouraged to consider donating food, raffle prizes, money or their own time to help make Project Graduation a night to remember for Lemont High School’s Class of 2010. Those interested in making a donation should contact Project Graduation Donation Chair Melanie Moorhouse at (630) 985-0857, or download the form below and return it to the committee.
