Wildflour Bakery & Cafe Joins with The GreatAmerican DineOut to Fight Childhood Hunger
Who would guess a simple chocolate cupcake, with swirly pink frosting and peppermint sprinkles, could help in the fight against childhood hunger? But at Wildflour Bakery & Café in Lake Bluff, their Pops’ Pink Peppermint Cupcake is doing just that. From September 22-26, Wildflour will be donating 100% of the proceeds of their best selling pastry, to the GreatAmerican DineOut---a nationwide effort that encourages restaurants to not only create awareness but make a contribution to ending childhood hunger in America. Owners Kristi Loucks and Ann Sorlie-Fisher aren’t stopping there. “During this week, we’ll also donate 10% of all Wildflour proceeds,” adds Kristi. Wildflour is also extending hours by adding a Friday and Saturday dinner seating, September 25 & 26, to maximize their efforts. This limited dinner menu, including mustard-crusted pork loin, salmon, homemade pizza and more, will be available from 5;30-8:00 both evenings. Visit www.wildflourlakebluff.com for details. Wildflour Bakery & Café is located at 14 E. Scranton Avenue, in Lake Bluff, Il. Phone: (847)-235-2498.
