Community Family Center Appoints Bob Baizer Chairman Steering Committee
The Community Family Center, which plans to redevelop the former Karger Center as a centralized facility for five local not-for-profit child care and family services agencies, has elected Bob Baizer to chair the "Building Today for a Stronger Tomorrow" Campaign Steering Committee. Baizer, a longtime resident of Highland Park, attended Braeside and Edgewood schools and is a graduate of Highland Park High School. He attended the University of California in Berkeley, has a B.A. in political science from the University of Illinois and a J.D from Northwestern University Law School. Baizer is the founder of Baizer Kolar & Lewis PC, a law firm that concentrates in personal injury trial practice with offices in Highland Park. He is Chair of the Highland Park Police and Fire Board and on the Board of Governors of the American Association for Justice. Baizer previously served on the board of Glenkirk for 25 years and on the capital campaign board of the North Shore Health Center Friends for Health until the center opened. Bob has two daughters and one new granddaughter. Other campaign steering committee members are Gail Feiger Brown, Katie Cohen, Jane B. Colman, William Kaufman, Edith Kaye, David Ruder, Susan Ruder, Herb Wander, Karen Wander and Roberta Wexler.
