Northwood Jr. High claims 1st place at poms competition

Northwood Jr. High School's Spirit Squad walked away with first-place honors at the Lakeside Conference Poms Competition on Dec. 5 at Lake Bluff Middle School.

The 12-member squad  presented an entertaining and exciting routine for the packed crowd. Out of five squads, Northwood was judged the best and received a plaque. They continued on the following weekend with another crowd-pleasing routine at the Hawthorn Invitational Poms Competition at Vernon Hills High School.
