9/11 Discussion Panel

La Red Music Theatre will host a discussion panel on the events of 9/11, open to the community.

La Red Music Theatre is a collective of trained theatre professionals dedicated to presenting new works of musical theatre in Highland Park. Members of the Collective have trained, worked for, and presented work on some of the most recognized stages around the country, including major regional houses and Broadway. Highland Park has been identified as a smart, receptive and vibrant community, ideal for the incubation and creation of new musicals.

This summer, the centerpiece of our season will be The 9/11 Report: A Bipartisan Musical Fantasia. This is a musical fantasia that combines elements of song, dance, and theatre to explore the whos, whats, wheres, whens, whys, and hows of that infamous day.

Join La Red and moderator Marjorie Sher (Lake County Bar Association) for a discussion panel to explore the events of 9/11 at Borders in Highland Park on July 6th at 7:30 in the evening. We will be examining the events leading up to that day: A history of terror, fundamentalism, and religious extremism in America; a discussion of the inciting incidents and overlooked moments that preceded September 11, 2001.
