COLLEGE OF DUPAGE RECEIVES $77,093 PROGRAM IMPROVEMENT GRANT FROM ILLINOIS COMMUNITY COLLEGE BOARD
College of DuPage recently received a $77,093 grant from the Illinois Community College Board as part of the FY10 Program Improvement Grant. The program will focus on Career and Technical Education and will provide funding support for online courses with hands-on learning tools, course design resources and faculty development; enhanced support services for students in developmental math; graphic arts and centralized output center equipment, including related curriculum and faculty/staff development; and automotive technology equipment that supports the new green curriculum. “The instructional and student support strategies funded by this grant will have a very broad-based impact on new and continuing students enrolled in Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs of study at College of DuPage,” said Glenda Gallisath, Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs. “We will also have new resources to enhance delivery modes, making CTE programs more accessible to students of all ages and backgrounds.” For more information, call Gallisath at (630) 942-2690.
