Chalk Boutique, Chicago’s North Shore luxury clothing and accessory destination, has opened its doors on Prairie Avenue, along Evanston’s boutique row.

The boutique is the exclusive North Shore merchant of Jason Wu Designs and the creative vision of Evanston residents and co-owners/buyers, Carrie Kane and Sharon Watrous. 

“Our ultimate goal is to create a warm, inviting destination where we can share with our clients the excitement we experience when discovering and exploring new collections,” said co-owner, Carrie Kane.

The 1,300 square foot, modern, minimalist space showcases lines that maintain a balance between established designers and emerging talent from the U.S. and Europe, including Alberta Ferretti, A.L.C., Balenciaga, Giambattista Valli, Guillaume Hinfray, Hache, Jason Wu, KaufmanFranco, MIH Jeans, Perrin Paris, Ranjana Khan, The Row, VBH, and Yigal Azrouël.

“The beauty and fine craftsmanship of our pieces speak for themselves. What we hope to add to our client’s experience is knowledge about a fashion house’s history, a designer’s evolution, or a particular style’s genealogy,” said co-owner, Sharon Watrous.
 

Chalk Boutique is located at 2611 Prairie Avenue in Evanston, Ill., and is open Tuesday – Saturday 10 – 5 p.m., Thursday 10 – 7 p.m., and by appointment.
