"A Passport to Success," the Business-to-Business Expo coordinated by four area Chambers of Commerce, drew a strong cross-section of the local merchant community on Wednesday, Oct. 21.

The four-hour event, held at the Diplomat West Banquet Halls, 681 W. North Ave. in Elmhurst., included some 70 area local businesses showcasing their products and services.

The Expo was sponsored jointly by the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Villa Park Chamber of Commerce, Addison Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Bensenville Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

“Our expo provided a fun and professional environment for Chamber members in four bordering communities to network to potential clients,” said John R. Quigley, President and CEO of the Elmhurst Chamber. "At the same time, it provided a top-flight business education component for both exhibitors and attendees.”

For the second year in a row, Event Sponsors included Harris Bank (1121 South York Street, Elmhurst), AT&T (225 West Wesley Street, Wheaton), Suburban Bank & Trust (150 Butterfield Road) and York Theatre/ Classic Cinemas (150 North York Street).

In addition, The Business Ledger (1260, Iroquois Avenue, Suite 200, Naperville) returned as a Media Sponsor and Sign-A-Rama (17W623 Roosevelt Road, Oakbrook Terrace) joined as a Signage Sponsor.

The Expo also featured 45-minute business education seminars dealing with three aspects of marketing—social media, networking and green initiatives. Each was presented by Elmhurst Chamber members with expertise in their given field.
