Viewers will learn about the “Veterans History Project”, an important program for American war veterans and for people who are interested in history.

The show features two guests, a professional historian and an American War veteran. Diane Dassow, a historian, explains that the Veterans History Project collects the personal stories of American war veterans. The stories are then preserved so that future generations may hear directly from veterans, and better understand the realities of war. Ms. Dassow then interviews an American war veteran who describes some of his personal war experiences.

The Vintage Times is a local cable television program shown on channels 6 and 19. This program will be shown on channel 6 during March on Mondays and Fridays at 10:30 a.m., and on Comcast channel 19 during April on Thursdays at 6:00 p.m. The Vintage Times is also shown in Darien on channel 6 daily at 4 p.m.

DVD copies will be available for loan at public libraries in Downers Grove, Darien and Westmont, as well as at the Township office.
