The Choo Choo Restaurant, 600 Lee St., in downtown Des Plaines turned into a TV set March 10. The production shut down sidewalks between Miner and Jefferson streets on Lee Street. The project has movie star Vince Vaughn at the helm. Vaughn was on set throughout the day. A small group of fans, some who had been waiting since 4 a.m., huddled at a barricade snapping photos and explaining what was going on to passersby and new people to the group. Vaughn, along with Des Plaines Mayor Martin Moylan, came out to greet the crowd and sign autographs. —By Heather Leszczewicz, triblocal.com reporter
